There’s a whole lot of whimsy coming to theaters on December 15, 2023 with the Timothée Chalamet-led Wonka finally set to debut. Wonka is a prequel to Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory starring Gene Wilder and will hopefully explore why Wonka is the way he is.
The prequel film stars Timothée Chalamet as the infamous Willy Wonka and also features many other prominent actors like Rowan Atkinson, Olivia Colman and even Hugh Grant as an Oompa-Loompa. Paul King, the brilliant director of the Paddington movies, is set the direct this whimsical glimpse into the life of Willy Wonka before he had the most famous chocolate factory in existence.
